‘He must become greater, I must become less’
Big is based on our
who gave us a
in Jesus and a
on our lives to live as his children.
Big Church happens on Sunday mornings at the same time as our family service. Big Church is great time for infants to 13-year-olds to come together and encourage one another in their love of Jesus’s example. We believe that children learn in different ways and our Kid’s Church program includes age-appropriate activities that are fun, interactive and creative. Our program consists of music and dance, crafts, games, discussions about God’s Word, prayer and a time of getting to know one another.
We believe that Gods word is central in our understanding of God, Gods great love for us and being able to live a life for Jesus. We aim to teach children God’s word in an interactive, fun and age appropriate way.
This is a program that aims to create a pathway between Big Church and the community. It will be held on a Friday from 4 till 5:30 starting Term II 2015.
Every Wednesday afternoon during school term Girls Brigade meets in the church hall from 4.30-6.30. Through craft, games, devotion, camps, singing and godly leadership the girls are encouraged to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Valuable friendships are built and new skills are learnt under the GB motto to ‘Seek, Serve and follow Christ’.
Holiday Club is run on the last Thursday and Friday in the July school holidays. Over 100 kids from Kindergarten to Year 6 gather to have a wild time, doing indoor and outdoor activities that are all themed around learning more about our great God. There is a final instalment on the following Sunday that whole families are invited to.
Junior Jivers (Playgroup)
Want your kids to have fun? Want to meet other parents/carers in a relaxed environment?
Junior Jivers is a music and movement program for 0-5’s and their carers. We meet every Wednesday morning during school term at the St Mark’s playground at the front of church (or if wet behind the church in the hall). It is a fun and relaxed morning of free play, craft, story telling, singing, music and instrument time as well as occasional outings. Each term has a different Christian theme (e.g. God made the seasons and weather). It costs $2 per family which includes light refreshments for parents.
